This program is designed to protect your owner-occupied dwelling from multiple perils. Depending on the coverage type you choose, the perils insured against can range from very broad to very basic, with a corresponding premium cost. Other coverages that are included in the policy are Personal Property, Other Structures, and Loss of Use. This program offers both replacement cost and actual cash value policies.

If you rent a dwelling or an apartment, we also have a program that covers Personal Property only.

The above policies can be purchased with varying amounts of Liability and Medical Payments (to others) coverage.

For Farm owners/operators

Our farm policy is called the Agri-Pak. The strength of this policy is in its flexibility. It can be tailored to protect a wide range of property, including:

  • Owner-occupied and tenant-occupied dwellings (replacement cost coverage available).

  • Owner-occupied mobile homes.

  • Tenant-occupied mobile homes in certain situations.

  • Scheduled and unscheduled household goods (replacement cost coverage available).

  • Personal and farm outbuildings.

  • Scheduled and blanket farm personal property such as machinery, irrigation units, livestock, and harvested hay & grain.

  • Miscellaneous coverages such as debris removal, refrigerated products, farm machinery cab glass, and sewer backup.

All of the above items can be individually purchased to protect against various perils, ranging from very broad to very basic coverage. This means you can avoid paying for coverage that you feel is not needed, which results in premium savings. For example, if Theft is not a peril you are concerned about for a particular item, you can purchase coverage that does not include the Theft peril, which would result in less premium dollars.

The Agri-Pak policy can also be purchased with varying amounts of Liability and Medical Payments (to others) coverage.

In 1878 a group of German Americans in the Bremen, KS area joined together to help a neighbor after a fire loss and formed an organization called the "Friendly Fire Society". From these roots, on May 2, 1888, Bremen Farmers Mutual Insurance Company was created - chartered by the Kansas Insurance Department to offer property and casualty insurance throughout the state of Kansas.

Although the initial Friendly Fire Society had a German background, the newly chartered company was designed to provide insurance products regardless of nationality. Today, Bremen Farmers Mutual continues the spirit of a mutual insurance company by providing high quality insurance protection that benefits its Kansas policyholders rather than stockholders located in far away places.
